Yes, people! I am psyched! My recent giveaway resulted in 451 free copies of my short story, Cyberpunk’d going out to my amazing readers! I hope those of you who downloaded the story enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun to write, and as one of my readers said, was a “dark TG story” that I hoped might get people just a little thirsty and hot!
Watch for more giveaways, people, both more fiction and more stuff. I am ramping up my marketing efforts and working hard to bring you all the best TG fiction in the world! Yes, that is my goal.
I remember when I put my very story on Amazon. It was called Cramps, I was so nervous that no one would buy it, or that the first person who bought would slam me with a scathing review. Well, guess what? One of those things did happen! Once the book posted, I checked day after day to see if anyone posted a review, and I was getting super discouraged because I wasn’t getting any reviews. I was hoping and praying someone would review the book, and then one day I went to the website and found it: a two star review!
The reader hated my book, and at the time it seemed that meant they hated me.
Needless to say, this not what I had fantasized about when I uploaded my precious little story and eagerly awaited to torrent of praise I hoped (maybe expected, craved?) would come rushing my way.
But no. I got a slap in the face, and it was just what I needed. I got my first review, and it was terrible and mean, and I felt bad, but then I dealt with it. I realized that part of putting my work out there meant I would get bad reviews sometimes, and that they wouldn’t kill me, and I kept working on my second story, and a few days later when I got a positive review I was happy to know that at least one person, one random person out there in the world, had read and enjoyed my story.
So, I keep writing, and I keep getting good and bad reviews, and sometimes no reviews, and it is all okay because I love what I am doing and as long as even one person out there enjoys my work, that’s a win!
